Hipster stereotype take two

Retake on the hipster image. Instead of the bun I tried the cap and I did a blind drawing of an observational drawing I had done first as a guide. It feels very haphazard and can be easily improved upon ie the hats too small the head is more of an oval but it's definitely an improvement on the previous image. i used inspiration from Stephen wakes work with the exaggeration of tony Healy in mind.

Hipster influenced by Stephen wake (and i hate it)

Urgh really don't like this rushed out at the end of the day and it looks less hipster and more samurai.
Thought adding a face would help it had the reverse effect it looks really badly done

Poor illusion idea

This is the pathetic attempt at an illusion using the noma bar influenced image combined with mc eschers illustration of the two hands drawing each other

Final major project foundation year: misconception and deception

Review week 1:
I was struggling at first to choose my theme but finally decided on misconception because it covered a wide range and interesting areas. I started by looking at the idea of magic and slight of hand doing observational drawings of cards and poker chips. Combining this with work by noma bar I found it disappointing because it felt like a poor copy. I tried combining it with illusion art instead but that also failed however the artist research I did for mc Escher, I'd like to go back to.
Review week 2:
Yes I'm kind if behind we did a work shop on book binding which I found very enjoyable but not needed at this point maybe in the later stages of the project. I tried taking the project down a new route and looked at the psychology of misconception and deception but this became to conceptual for me so I decided after looking at milgram and stereotyping I'd focus on a simpler idea of stereotyping so I went into town and drew observational drawings of people then wrote what I thought of them it made me feel rotten to judge people in such a way.
