During my first week of work experience at Slimming World i made E cards which are motivational internet messages. I was making these to get used to other features of photoshop and indesign. i also learn't about which fonts and how the company presents their adverts. again photos are off istock and the images are slimming worlds.

These are some of the short listed ideas i came up with during the first and second weeks of my work experience in Slimming Worlds web and design department. They were made mostly using parts of previous Slimming World adverts. Some of the pictures were off of the site iStock where some of the photos are purchased. These images belong to Slimming World and some to iStock.

Vivian Maier

Last night I watched a documentary on the secret photographer Vivian Maier. Who a few years, just before her death had her entire photography collection found. Her photos were 'street photography' before it was called street photography, the photos were of anything she found interest in, in the city of Chicago. Happy families, kids, old people, arguments, light and shadow, buildings and absolutely anything.

This is one of her self portraits that she did they would be on shop windows
or mirrors in the city, anything that would faintly reflect herself.

Joanne Wong - Manchester School of Art Trip

Joanne Wong was one of the students of Manchester School of Art whose work was on display. I really like it because it sort of has a comic book style to it because the drawings have a black out line to them.

Main Character child stage

The main character drawn using a graphics tablet and photoshop elements. Only just got the tablet and getting used to it so pictures proportions maybe a bit off.

Final Piece - Main Character Development - Pencil works

These are the designs for my main character Richard Davison who grows up through the 50s, so there is one of him as a child, a teenager and an adult. It was hard to get him to look similar as he had to grow up so his features became more refined over the years. I used photoshop to get the lines darker to make them more visible but some have faded.
